ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As a summer student in Assay Research and Development, you will apply your skills in science and/or engineering in a project-oriented R&D environment by:
• Helping to design and develop new products, systems, inventions and solve problems, and/or
• Supporting opportunities to redesign existing products and systems to improve performance, reliability and manufacturability while reducing overall costs.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Full-time registration in an undergraduate BSc / BASc degree program of studies in Science (Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology) or Engineering (Chemical)
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES and ATTRIBUTES

• Mathematical skills
• Innovation, ingenuity, demonstrated learning ability
• Minimum GPA of B or average above 70%
• Problem-solving skills
• Analytical laboratory skills; experimental design, study execution, data analysis
• Strong verbal and written communication
• Ability to influence others by persuasion and analytical reasoning
• Effective team player in a project environment
• Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
