The Opportunity
This position works out of our Alameda, CA location in the Diabetes Care division where we're focused on helping people with diabetes manage their health with life-changing products that provide accurate data to drive better-informed decisions. We’re revolutionizing the way people monitor their glucose levels with our new sensing technology.
As the Quality Engineer II you will be responsible for activities related to design control; qualification; specification and corrective and preventative action of molded commodities, packaging and equipment. Lead design planning efforts to include heading CFTs; establishing deliverables and tracking completion for complex projects. Will Identify and create documentation for engineering projects to adhere to division design and change control policies. Lead/support risk management activities such as creation or updates to FMEAs; supplier validation assessments, etc. Lead/support complex investigations and CAPA activities
What You’ll Work On
Understands design control processes and lead projects to ensure compliance with the process
Executes qualification/validation activities to support engineering projects
Analyzes complex interdisciplinary problems and identifies their impact; establishes probabilities, draws conclusions reflecting broad business needs; understands organizational and financial impact of recommendations; e.g.; applies regulatory requirements and recommends best course of action; sets complex design and process requirements.
Ability to juggle multiple priorities; establishes workable and trackable schedules
Strong technical writing skills to capture complex technical requirements; cause/effect and risks in design plans; qualifications; FMEAs and investigations
Strong verbal communications
Required Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Engineering or technical discipline; or equivalent experience plus demonstrated competence
3+ years of applicable engineering experience in equipment, molding, packaging, validation, project management or related field and 3+ years of experience in design control qualification

The base pay for this position is
$83,600.00 – $167,200.00
