JOB DESCRIPTION:

Project Manager Demand Process and Training

Our location in Columbus OH, currently has an opportunity for a Project Manager Demand Process and Training.

This position will report to the Director Demand Planning Center of Excellence (COE).  The role is global in scope and responsible for the managing the training workstream within the demand planning optimization project.  Responsibilities include developing and delivering against milestones in the project plan, including documenting processes and policies, developing and delivering training for the Abbott Nutrition (AN) demand planning processes. 

The primary role of the Project Manager Demand Process and Training is to formally document the policies and processes of the newly established AN Demand Planning COE, develop training materials, deliver training and maintain training records.  This is a newly created position that will be the project manager for the initial development of all training materials related to the demand planning process.  Provides feedback regarding effectiveness of programs and makes recommendations to increase effectiveness and efficiency. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO   

·  Serve as COE change agent.
·  Manage all aspects of a project, from start to finish, so that it is completed on time and within budget.  Global position working closely with commercial affiliates and IT. 
·  Develop and manage project plan to meet deliverables.
·  Facilitate completion of project documentation and recommend readiness management review.
·  Document project plan in Project Management (PM) software and maintain project documentation.
·  Manage cross-functional project timeline and follow-up with project team members to ensure timely completion of tasks.
·  Proactively identify and manage project opportunities, issues and risks.
·  Collaborate with representatives from appropriate functional areas across the Division to meet project objectives.
·  Develop an overall training plan to meet the requirements of the demand planning organization.
·  Develop, deliver, and evaluate training programs and curriculum so skills and performance of employees meet the organization’s requirements.
·  Links activities to the long-term business strategy.
·  Direct all training and development activities to ensure they are conducted efficiently, cost-effectively, and in accordance with the organization's policies and standards.
·  Create and manage demand planning SOPs.  Document the demand planning processes in both written and visual forms.
·  Document and maintain demand planning policies.
·  Design and maintain ownership of training certification program including all documented processes, policies and related training materials.
·  Develop and track appropriate control methods and key performance indicators to quantitatively measure training program success.  Conducts periodic reviews of training metric data to assess the overall effectiveness of the training programs.
·  Contributes to an environment of continuous improvement.  Identifies, develops and implements projects and processes to improve training quality.
·  Maintains working knowledge of best practices in training and new technologies to develop state of the art approaches to changing development and training needs.
·  Incorporates technology such as computer-based instruction and multimedia format to enhance learning.
·  Establishes strong working relationships with business areas.  Interacts with internal and external customers, by meeting regularly, responding to requests and explaining procedures. 

Accountability / Scope:

·  This position is global in scope and is responsible for initial set up of all process documentation, training development and training delivery for AN demand planning. 
·  This position has no direct P&L responsibility, but the work performed has significant impact to the division P&L as the demand plan is the foundation for sales projections and manufacturing throughput.
·  This position has no direct reports.

  EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE, YOU’LL BRING   

Required   

·  Bachelor's degree in Education, Human Resources, Business, Engineering, Operations Supply Chain Management or Instructional Design
·  Supply Chain or project management certifications such as PMP, APICS, CPIM, lean, six sigma certifications a plus.

Preferred   

·  Minimum 3-5 years of demonstrated project management skills.
·  Preferred work experience within HR or Learning and Development, 2 years of experience conducting supply chain training.
·  Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication, including great presentations. 
·  Strong MS Office Skills. 
·  Great writer and talker.  Can organize, summarize, clarify and communicate ideas simply, succinctly, and accurately to both demand planning and other business audiences.
·  Demonstrated ability to lead complex multifunctional projects and deliver milestones on time and on budget. 
·  Builds excellent relationships with key internal and external customers based on trust and confidence.
·  Influential and charismatic, especially with decision makers and operational teams.
·  Demonstrated ability to effectively interface with all levels of management from Site VP to front line supervisors and employees.
·  Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication, including great presentations.
·  Ability to work within high-performing teams and is highly collaborative.
·  Communicate well with all levels of the organization.
·  Good analytical skills to develop and operationalize learning metrics.
·  Ability to use change management tools and processes to achieve desired result.
·  Ability to write Standard Operating Procedures and related technical documentation.
