JOB DESCRIPTION:
Main purpose of role
This role requires in field, advanced clinical experience within Electrophysiology to design and implement marketing and sales strategies and bring new technology portfolios into the market in order to meet established sales or market share targets. Field based. Travel essential. Sydney/NSW based.
Main Responsibilities

Monitor, analyse, and evaluate domestic and international market trends, consumer behavior and competitor activity to identify market opportunities for new and emerging technologies/ services.
· Provide market feedback on product and competitor activity Market research and competitor intel from the field.
· Provide customer and field team insights, to better align our marketing strategy with what the customer and field need and what.
· Monitor, analyse, and evaluate product performance and customer feedback.
· Managing key stakeholder engagement and relationships. Identify product/service changes to meet customer needs.
· Adapt plans to improve the sales performance of the product/service.
· Field and technical link between Marketing and Commercial team.
· Evaluate the practicality and potential of new products and market developments.
· Participate in the development of marketing objectives, strategies (annual portfolio plan), and ensure their execution.
· Clinical/ Technical link for all staff and R&D/ Global for reporting initiatives and clinically relevant updates.
· Technically lead the launch of new products in the field (LMRs, ISAs). Assist with product marketing and launches.
· Align with Education to help with customer engagements – external courses, international customer visits and programs.
· Approval of clinical, promotional, educational material. Technical lead for overseeing these prior to launching on various platforms nationally.
· Capital equipment support to identify capital placement opportunities and post install opportunities.
· Evaluate the practicality and potential of product updates and market development.
· Participate in planning sales promotion and advertising in support of existing products (including National/International meetings/congresses) and determine market strategies and sales tactics to achieve product objectives.
· Develop, implement and update product training to sales force on an ongoing basis.
· Utilise market research, brand team, advisory boards, and 3rd party data to validate key assumptions, test campaigns and gain insights to drive further performance.
· Ensure all business activities comply with the relevant Acts, legal demands and ethical standards. Review complaints and suggestions relating to assigned products.
· Develops and maintains effective collaborative working relations with sales team, Finance/Regulatory/Medical teams, commercial support and creative services/agency teams.
· Perform other related functions and responsibilities as directed by Manager.
Education
· Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Business, Biomedical Engineer, Science or related field.
· CEPIA or equivalent desirable.
Experience and Skills
· Cardiac Physiologist and/or experience essential.
· 3D Mapping and EP experience essential.
· Complete Abbott Portfolio knowledge and training (5+ years working with Abbott EP Products).
· Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
· Evidence of consistent sales ability.
· Sound understanding or qualifications in marketing related principles.
· Effective written, verbal communication and presentation skills.
· Proficient in computer-based programs including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
