Our location in Austin TX, currently has an opportunity for a Pricing & Contracting Analyst. Working in support of the Medical Devices US Sales Division, the Contracts and Pricing Analyst will help Abbott meet its revenue objectives through day-to-day administration and implementation of Pricing and Contract Strategy. This position will also play a key role on various cross-functional team projects that will require the ability to work with individuals at all levels of the organization.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
· Drive day-to-day implementation of Pricing and Contract Strategy through daily collaboration with Marketing, Field Sales, Inside Sales.
· Work with Marketing, Field Sales, and Inside Sales to execute agreements for customers, rooted in data analysis, which deliver increased volume or price, while ensuring price and price structures are consistent with Pricing and Contract Strategy; work with customers, as necessary, to negotiate pricing and contracts in support of Field Sales and Inside Sales.
· Provide Pre-Sales internal contract support & guidance to Field Sales and Inside Sales, including proactive identification of contract and pricing opportunities, within the parameters of the Pricing and Contract Strategy
· Work to convert existing pricing arrangements to signed agreements
· Handle creation of contracts from pre-defined templates.
· Analyze and monitor customer adherence to contract parameters, working with Field and Inside Sales to apprise customer and work toward corrective action.
· Maintain reporting and analysis of global contract and pricing efforts, measuring effectiveness of programs, and participate in development of course correction as needed
· Ensure all approved requests have been properly documented in accordance to Sales Operations processes, escalated to the appropriate approval level, and resolved within committee, if necessary
· Respond to process & policy questions and effectively communicate requirements to Field Sales and Inside Sales.
· Handle creation of contracts from pre-defined templates
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING
General Qualifications:
· 3 plus years experience in business, financial, or strategic pricing analysis required.
· Knowledge of mathematical modeling and demonstrated ability to quickly identify relevant details while working with large date sets.
· Comfortable reading, writing, revising and interpreting legal language.
· Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously: organization, attention to detail, ability to work under general supervision, superior communication and presentation skills, deal with unresolved issues, and effectively communicating and maintaining rapport with Sales Representatives and Managers, National and Strategic Account Management, and all levels of personnel cross functionally.
· Demonstrated proficiency in operating a personal computer including advanced proficiency with MS Office. High degree of originality and ingenuity required.
Desired Qualification:
· Bachelor’s degree. Familiarity with SAP and SalesForce.
