JOB DESCRIPTION:

Core Job Responsibilities

·  Can operate the equipment / complete the tasks associated with the area they support and train for.
·  Conducts and/or coordination of OJT for area team members new to the function / role or for periodic assessments of ongoing skills and demonstrated competency.
·  Provides SME insight and support in updates to 1PL’s as periodic reviews occur.
·  Evaluate Operator Standard Work (OSW) to ensure accuracy and adherence by area team members.  Perform and/or coordinate periodic assessments against OSW for consistency and gap identification.
·  Oversees the OJT scheduling and schedule adherence of the OJT process, including support of the Certified Job Trainers/Learning Mentors.
·  Partner with site Technical Training Specialist to monitor and track department training activities by area of support (OJT schedule adherence, cross-training, rotations).
·  Assist in the development (as an area/task SME) and completion of annual and requested training for area personnel.
·  Provides daily guidance and direction to personnel in training on task assignments and expectations.
·  Partner in the development of cross-training matrices for operational functions and determine gaps / necessary steps to build departmental flexibility and competency.
·  Work to address new team member concerns related to their OJT training and tools.
·  Ensure that the site training tools and processes are followed and adhered to by site personnel in their respective area(s).
·  Ensure periodic learning assessments on critical tasks are complete and documented with any action items outlined for gaps.

Supervisory/Management Responsibilities

·  Reports directly to the site’s Sr. Training Specialist with dotted line reporting relationships to the OpEx Manager.
·  Partners with the FLL’s and Operations Managers for their assigned area as well as new team members in their assigned function/area.
·  Provide support and coaching for Learning Mentors in their assigned area.

Minimum Education & Experience

High School diploma required with higher education acceptable.  This position must have a thorough working knowledge of the functions within their area of support (3-5 years preferred) and be able to perform these tasks and instruct on them independently while adhering to effective training principles and concepts to ensure learning and demonstrated competency.  Must have certifications complete on the functions they will provide hands on instruction on.  Experience as a Job Trainer or Learning Mentor preferred.

     

The base pay for this position is
$20.60 – $41.20/hour

In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
