The Opportunity
This position works out of our Pleasanton, CA location in the Heart Failure Division. In Abbott’s Heart Failure (HF) business, we’re developing solutions to diagnose, monitor and manage heart failure, allowing people to restore their health and get on with their lives.
This position is responsible for maintaining the MES FTPC solution in the Manufacturing Engineering space across the Pleasanton site. This position oversees manufacturing engineering related tasks and projects in and working with the assigned site resources to carry out tasks and ensures that they are delivered on time. This person will be trained on and then will be responsible for having an in-depth understanding of MES in the manufacturing engineering space, as well as overall MES processes. They will also work with the MES IT support teams, including but not limited to the Development team, Business Analyst team, the Business System Analyst team, and the SAP team.
The Manufacturing Engineering Functional Lead will also need to have a basic understanding of the other MES functionalities, including but not limited to: Material handling and planning, quality, reporting, requirements gathering, configuration, and integration. They will be responsible for connecting with all other functional lead(s) on the team in order to stay consistent and have the most up to date information.
What You’ll Work On
· Responsible for providing timelines for all manufacturing engineering tasks on related projects
· Responsible for leading efforts and carrying out tasks for all manufacturing engineering tasks with site resources
· Provide updates to Global work instructions for the MES configuration documents, and communicate changes to all affected parties
· Maintain regular communication with global team and provide assistance with larger MES configuration changes
· Provide support and guidance around Global enhancements, specifically around requirements gathering, prioritization, and UAT
· Provide training support to all new site manufacturing engineering staff supporting MES as needed
· Responsible for reporting out efforts and escalating issues and concerns in a timely manner
· Responsible for troubleshooting and creating resolution plans for unexpected IDOC errors.
· Responsible for master data uploads into production environment.
Required Qualifications
· 3-5 years of experience working in Manufacturing Engineering space
· Project management skills, problem solving skills, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skill
· Strong ability to influence and gain acceptance
· SAP MD experience, preferred in the Operations space
· Demonstrated ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
· Must be proficient in Microsoft tools, including Excel, Project, Word, PowerPoint, and Power BI

The base pay for this position is
$65,900.00 – $131,900.00
