The Opportunity
This position works out of our Polish location. The candidate should preferably live in Warsaw, the position requires traveling across Poland.
Objective
The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is the scientific voice of expertise for Abbott Diabetes Care (ADC) products (in particular FreeStyle Libre system portfolio) and therapeutic area. This field based role focuses on medical & scientific engagement with ADC stakeholders, creates scientific dialogue with experts and provides medical affairs support to the commercial team.
Responsibilities:
· Establish professional relationships with clinical experts
· Gathering information and insights on therapy area and medical and scientific needs
· Ensure strong medical and scientific presence of Abbott Diabetes Care in clinical centers
· Be the expert in the medical and scientific aspects of company products
· Respond to requests for medical and scientific information
· Provide medical information on company products to both internal and external customers
· Provide support/medical guidelines for educational activities
· Conducting literature searches, analyzing clinical papers, attending conferences, courses and other events to be updated on the latest scientific and clinical advances in therapy
· Support the product strategy in collaboration with the Medical Director and other company functions
Requirements:
· Advanced degree in health sciences (MD, PharmD, or PhD)
· Min. 2 years’ experience in Medical Affairs (preferred)
· Advanced knowledge of evidence-based medicine, National Healthcare System and the pharmaceutical industry
· Excellent communication/organizational skills
· Very good English knowledge in speaking, reading and writing, native Polish
· Availability to travel at least 50% of the time
