The Opportunity

This position works out of our Gainesville, FL location in the Heart Failure division. In Abbott’s Heart Failure (HF) business, we’re developing solutions to diagnose, monitor and manage heart failure, allowing people to restore their health and get on with their lives.

The main purpose of this role is to: follow established procedures and guidelines to collect credit information, maintain accurate records, and collect overdue accounts to minimize outstanding debts.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

· 
Work on all open incidents.

·  Commentary on denials for VAD Quality Reporting distribution.
·  VOB Claims Inquiries Review - develop a way to communicate and cascade process gaps and issues.
·  Give guidance and answer questions from team members.
·  Identify gaps in the process and help define processes.
·  Explain policies to fellow team members.
·  Share knowledge.
·  Work with patient pay collectors on any process gaps.
·  Able to address patient's concerns.
·  Validate patient statements.
·  Develop a way to communicate and cascade information down to the team regarding payer information issues.
·  Develop a process to cascade information down to the team regarding new and updates to contracts.
·  Adjustment reviewing and creating spreadsheet on a monthly to submit to finance.
·  Analyze the payers on top 40 and cascade issues and trends down to the team.
·  Work AR when needed.

Required Qualifications:

· 
Technical Diploma (± 12 years)

·  Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
·  Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook)
·  Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
·  Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices

Preferred Qualifications:

· 
2-3 years of related experience

The base pay for this position is
$20.60 – $41.20/hour

In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
