JOB DESCRIPTION:

Description

The Manufacturing Excellence Engineer (MEE) is responsible for the performance of one or multiple Liquid manufacturing lines in terms of safety, quality and output. He/she is responsible for continuous improvement on these aspects for the specific line(s) and provides support and coaching to the production teams by providing methods, tools and standards.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Is the expert for all processes of the manufacturing line(s)
  • Trains and coaches the production team in handling the production processes in a controlled way.
  • Performs and provides detailed OEE performance analyses to identify structural problems. Subsequently analyzes and solves these problems in a sustainable way.
  • Coordinates and leads Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) and quality investigations.
  • Ensures timely implementation of actions resulting from RCAs/investigations, in cooperation with support

    staff.

  • Linking pin/liaison for the entire organization for the applicable manufacturing line(s). Oversees and is involved in new initiatives, projects and testing related to modifications and product development.
  • Drives the Continuous Improvement activities
  • Develops common standards and working methods for the factory as a whole, together with the other MEEs, to increase overall synergy.
  • Controls and adjusts the Management Operating System.

Knowledge

  • HBO or WO (technical) bachelor's degree
  • Knowledge of and experience with Lean Six Sigma tools and change management methods
  • Preferably Blackbelt certified
  • Knowledgeable with statistics and quality improvement techniques
  • Good knowledge of English with excellent writing skills
  • Preferably experience in working with production teams and in applying investigation tools (e.g. root cause investigation)
