The Opportunity
This position works out of the corporate headquarters at Abbott Park, Illinois in the Legal & OEC Operations department.
As the Manager, Transparency Technology, you will oversee the system, tools, data flows, environment, and databases used to produce Abbott’s transparency reports. This role will require working with considerable data from multiple sources, analyzing problems, managing tasks, and driving cross-functional stakeholders to meet obligations correctly and on time.
What You’ll Work On
Oversee the transparency data, technology, and tools to ensure the data flows and processes that intake, aggregate, standardize, transform, match, and report the data function correctly.
Analyze technical issues that may occur with processes such as loading transactional data, managing customer master data, and producing reports.
Design technical and process controls to help prevent issues and facilitate their resolution.
Manage processes and projects:
· Own/drive all new technical build projects, either creating them yourself or providing requirements and working closely with developers
· Develop strategy/approach for standardizing the technological processes for the various transparency programs, and for improving processes and activities.
· Manage the role responsible for visualization of the data.
· Liaison with Abbott BTS on areas of BTS responsibility such as impact from changes to other systems and best approach for speed and stability improvements.
Required Qualifications
· General Education and Experience
· Bachelor’s degree
· No previous transparency knowledge necessary
· Data / Technology Skills
· Experience designing and managing databases.
· SQL or other programming language to connect data for analysis
· Use of an ETL tool to transform data.
· Proven ability to learn new technologies and tools.
· Tasks / People Skills
· Ability to manage multiple projects, with a comfort working with tight timelines and making decisions based on risk.
· Consistent and strong attention to detail, good judgement, and strong time management skills.
· Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to provide management with summaries of relevant information.

· 2+ Years of experience.
· Data / Technology Skills
· Precisely D360 Analyze with Python to view and transform data.
· Application architecture experience.
· Master data management experience
· Tasks / People Skills
· Project experience cross-functional teams.
· Experience working in transparency programs.

The base pay for this position is
$109,300.00 – $218,700.00
In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
