JOB DESCRIPTION:
· Its a Multi Country Role. Countries Include : India, Nepal, Pakistan, Bangladesh ( SAARC Countries)
· To competently manage the Medical and scientific affairs Department in India
· Collaborate with the commercial team and build medical strategy for India.
· Assist and advise Marketing on all promotional activities, and to ensure compliance with the relevant promotional Codes.
· As a member of by the Medical Affairs department, ensure appropriate support and training provided to all other functions.
· As a member of Medical Affairs Department, provide scientific and clinical input the into key commercial initiatives as required, including new product introductions and related product evaluations.
· Establish and develop strong relationships with key external customers including KOLs, Professional Associations, Healthcare Institutions for strategic development of India business.
· Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of the company’s portfolio of products, the relevant therapeutic areas and the medical environment in India.
· Ensure medical/clinical/scientific support/guidance and training is provided to all other functions.
· Provides appropriate support to the Investigator Initiated Studies/Research projects in the country.
· Liaise with external authorities/organisations/institutions as required

This is a senior position in which a low level of supervision is anticipated along with project responsibility and interaction with senior management.
Directly accountable to Regional Medical & Scientific Affairs Director, and indirectly to the General Manager
· MBBS or a degree in Microbiology
· Higher professional qualification desirable but not essential
· 3-5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical/IVD industry preferred but not essential.
· Commercially aware
· Effective communicator and leader
· Highly developed project management skills
· Excellent interpersonal and team working skills
· Self-starter, possesses flexibility and ability to work under pressure in a fast-changing environment and ambiguous situations
· Positive attitude, team player with a high level of initiative, energy, and enthusiasm
· Responsible and accountable
