WHAT YOU’LL DO

The Facilities Maintenance Manager maintains the plant buildings and grounds including, but not limited to, elevators, utilities distribution systems, floors, walls, ceilings, roofs, sewer systems, doors, parking lots, lawns, and vegetation.  This role also manages the operation of the laundry, housekeeping, recycle center, solid and liquid hazardous and non-hazardous waste and manages the maintenance of all plant vehicles and associated equipment such as high lifts, fleet cars, and trucks.

·  Implement and maintain the effectiveness of the quality system.
·  Maintain all painted surfaces in a 787,000 square foot facility –scraping, touchup and painting.
·  Maintain all exterior grounds - cleanup, lawn care, snow removal, parking lot walkways, shrubs, etc.
·  Coordinate all facilities work with the effected departments.
·  Coordinate the inspections of fire protection systems, fogging systems and utilities distribution systems.
·  Schedule and supervise contractors for facilities maintenance, painting, roofing, lawn, snow removal, floor and tile work, insulation, windows, doors, etc.
·  Act as the Project Engineer and/or Project Sponsor for minor and major facilities projects such as re-roofing, flooring replacements, remodeling and expansions.
·  Maintain hazardous waste disposal activities and records.
·  Maintain plant facilities, buildings, grounds, and the fixed assets of the buildings as to permit the safe, efficient, and economical conduct of business at the Sturgis plant in compliance with all Abbott and regulatory requirements.
·  Maintain a superior level of housekeeping and GMP in the plant common areas such as offices, restrooms, and hallways.
·  Responsible for operation of the Recycle Center, Hazardous Waste Removal, and Waste Oil Removal.
·  Maintain the plant vehicle fleet to provide safe and reliable transportation.
·  Purchase and maintain inventories of cleaning and sanitizing products for use in the facility.
·  Manage security of the buildings and grounds by maintaining fences, doors, gates, lighting, and fire systems.

You’ll be accountable for meeting our compliance standards including FDA, OSHA and Abbott policies and procedures.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING

Required

·  Bachelor's Degree – Engineering preferred
·  Experience with supervision and direct reports
·  Technical expertise in facilities maintenance and fork truck repair

Preferred

·  Capital project planning experience

The base pay for this position is
$80,700.00 – $161,300.00

In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
