Job description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Abbott Diabetes Care designs, develops and manufactures leading-edge glucose monitoring systems and test strips for use in both home and hospital settings. Our product portfolio includes Freestyle Libre, a recently launched system that is revolutionising how people with diabetes around the world monitor their glucose levels. We are passionate about doing work that improves the quality of people's lives.

We currently have an opportunity for a Distribution Analyst to join our team based in Witney, Oxfordshire.

As an analyst, you're a quick thinker, able to organize competing priorities while providing level-headed guidance, even during unexpected events. In this role, you will be the ‘go to' person for Logistics information and will be expected to drive data-based decision making and present this to internal stakeholders and teams across the division. Working in a spirit of continuous improvement and comfortable as part of a wider group, you will be responsible for analysing and translating data relating to product distribution and supply, always looking to optimise the performance of our network. You'll be instrumental in developing standardised performance dashboards and metrics that assist with supplier performance monitoring and participate in corporate supplier selection activity. It's a new role so there's plenty of scope for a quick learner.

To be successful, you will be Degree qualified, ideally within the field of Supply Chain, but open to related subjects. You will have strong data analysis skills and an ability to produce, interpret and draw conclusions from data. A strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel is expected whilst experience of Power BI would be beneficial. Familiarity with supply chain concepts - forecasting, planning, optimisation, logistics and experience of MRP/ERP systems (especially SAP) is advantageous.

We're looking for someone who is ambitious, highly organised, and excited about joining a team at the forefront of Diabetes Care innovation. The ideal candidate will be a proactive individual who takes initiative and is able to work within a small team but interact on a wider business scale. You'll need to have excellent written, verbal, listening, communicating and time management skills coupled with the ability to comfortably and confidently present to all levels.

As you'd expect from an innovative global healthcare company, we offer an excellent starting salary, and a competitive range of benefits including a defined contribution pension scheme, private healthcare, life assurance, and a flexible benefits scheme.
