JOB DESCRIPTION:

Junior Supply Chain Planner

The Junior Supply Chain Planner is active within the Planning Department and is responsible for the most optimized balance between supply and demand. The Junior Supply Chain Planner is in the middle of the supply chain protecting Commercial Affiliates against backorders and the total organization against obsolete products.

What are your responsibilities and tasks?

Primary Responsibilities:

• Inventory management – Optimize inventory of the end to end supply chain
• Inventory management – Solve inventory exceptions by working with the Master Scheduling to adjust production and/or work with the Customer Service to find creative solution to minimize the impact.

  Position Interaction Internal & External Contacts

• Regular contact with multiple Manufacturing sources on planning and execution.
• Regular contact with Internal Customer Operations on healthiness of affiliate inventory projection.
• Regular contact with the Distribution Team on the planning and execution of shipments.
• Regular to Occasional contact with QA, Finance and IT departments.

  Problem Solving:

• Creative and analytical problem solving skills are required.

  Accountability:

• Supports achievement of key performance indicators.

What kind of background and personality we are looking for?

• Bachelor degree in a related field such as Supply Chain Management, Production Operations Management or Logistics Management
• APICS CPIM preferred
• Positive attitude, eager to learn and willing to go the extra mile in combination with a can do mentality are vital traits for this position
• Good communication and teamwork skills are required to facilitate good working relationships with supply chain partners.
• Strong analytical skills are scheduling, inventory management, and KPI analysis.
• Effective written and oral communication skills in English are required to facilitate information flow across internal and external supply chain partners.
• Negotiation and conflict resolution skills are required to ensure timely and effective solutions to scheduling and inventory management issues internal and external customers.
• Innovative skills and initiative are required to identify and implement business process improvements.
• Excellent organizational and follow-up skills are critical to ensure timely delivery of product and communication with the supply chain partners.
• Strong understanding of DRP planning systems and business applications is vital. (SAP)
