JOB DESCRIPTION:

Abbott is looking for a data/systems analyst to join the Corporate Services organization within Business and Technology Services (BTS), supporting Corporate Legal in the Transparency area. The data/systems analyst will partner with the business to support their needs for transparency operations support and delivery of various transparency reporting solutions.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Work closely with business and IT management to establish project goals, objectives and deliverables for Transparency system projects
• Provide assistance to project managers on project deliverables
• Partner with internal IT groups and software vendor to design and deliver new application functionality and system maintenance/bug fix releases
• Work closely with business sponsors to define technology needs in response to business problems, explore technical options and present solution alternatives
• Coordinate system support with other IT support organizations (i.e., infrastructure, other applications), and with external solution partners to ensure project and operations needs are addressed
• Perform data analysis, system and end-user support; and lead, coordinate and perform testing, verification, and validation of requirements
• Provide analytical support for compliance reporting
• Facilitate weekly status meetings
• Provide timely communication with stakeholders to address issues effectively

Skills Needed:

• Strong data analytics skills essential
• Solid Microsoft Excel skills required
• Familiarity with Microsoft Access, Oracle, SQL queries and databases preferred
• Knowledge of data analytics tool such as Qlik, Tableau, PowerBI is a plus

Education/Experience Required:

• Bachelor's degree in the field of business, computer science, engineering, or equivalent relevant experience
• 4-7 years' experience business systems analysis, data analysis, software development or deployment
