Abbott Diagnostics Division (ADD) is recruiting for the position Informatics Technical Service Specialist (ITSS) AlinIQ IMS & BIS (field based).

The Informatics Organization provides dedicated Informatics sales and service support to the regions.

The AlinIQ Informatics Technical Service Specialist is responsible for installing and supporting the Abbott AlinIQ RFID Inventory Management Solution and Business Intelligence Solution, delivering excellent technical professional service and training, providing expert application knowledge, and expanding ADD business by developing existing customer accounts. Working closely with ADD regional/local sales teams and Informatics Sales colleagues to develop and profitably grow new and existing customer accounts, the ITSS will ensure all IT implementation projects for which the team is responsible are delivered and executed as per Statement of work, assisting in the preparation of those documents and the planning of activities, ensuring all relevant information is captured. They will also specify the appropriate hardware solution for ADD IT solutions and where appropriate liaise with third party IT hardware providers. The ITSS will perform software and hardware-related installation and configuration processes, delivering structured software application product training to the end user and provide comprehensive support for entire Automation IT solution to Abbott Middleware. The ITSS will support post-sales IT activities and provide expert knowledge and coaching to internal customers and also support the procurement process by providing technical information.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of 2+ years relevant experience within the IT sector, ideally within healthcare/medical technology, with an emphasis on customer-facing post-sales IT support, or a Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline. Candidates should have excellent IT functional expertise, IT product and industry knowledge in Laboratory Medicine and a track record for identifying and driving the resolution of technical issues. Good relationship building/interpersonal skills, communication skills, a service-driven mindset, with a commercial focus are all desirable attributes. Due to the nature of the team, candidates must be willing to work cross-functionally, and must be team-orientated and well-organised. Candidates must be fluent in English. Fluency in a second language would be very beneficial, but not a requirement. The position requires the willingness to travel extensively within Europe, Middle East & Africa on a frequent basis (up to 80% of the time).

As you'd expect from an innovative global healthcare company, we offer a competitive range of benefits including excellent salaries, a fantastic defined contribution pension scheme, private healthcare, life assurance and a flexible benefits scheme.
