Our Des Plaines, IL location has an opportunity for - Global Scientific Affairs Manager , who would be responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system.

Responsibilities include strategic planning, financial management, professional development, training and support and execution of organizational goals and objectives as well as competitive business analysis and clinical positioning of a designated product line in the geographic area.

What You Will Do :

·  Duties include development of global Scientific Affairs strategies which complement marketing strategies on a worldwide basis, provide input to the design of new products, prepares scientific posters/abstracts and presents at key professional meetings around the world, develops and trains commercial organizations as well as customers around the world, acts as liason between global marketing and Quality/Regulatory and technical organizations when product issues arise, identifies sites, negotiates contracts, writes study protocols, monitors study progress, analyzes results and works with investigators to publish relevant therapeutic information, assist Area Scientific Affairs to develop scientific strategies in alignment with global business strategy.
·  Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system.

Position Accountabilities :.

·  The role is fully accountable for the development, direction, and execution of appropriate Scientific Affairs goals and objectives.
· 
Plans, establishes, grows, and coordinates strategic relationships with key opinion leaders (KOL’s) and other clinicians and laboratorians for the purpose of scientific and

clinical education.

· 
The role is fully accountable for the development, direction, and
execution of appropriate Scientific Affairs goals and objectives
·  They are accountable for and have decision-making responsibility for deploying appropriate resources to support and ensure attainment of business objectives.
·  This includes adhering to fiscal budgets, dissemination of scientific information within corporate regulatory and compliance guidelines, managing team and individual performance within their duties, project management and quantifying and reporting results.
·  Serves as mentor for others including training and coaching.

Education/ Skills / Experience :

·  Ph.D. or Master’s degree in a scientific discipline with 3 years of relevant experience in molecular diagnostic product development. (>5 years preferred) with demonstrated leadership success in the following areas:
