JOB DESCRIPTION:
Abbott Molecular in Des Plaines, IL is looking for a Global Marketing Operations Associate
Major Responsibilities include: Work with Marketing teams on planning process, supplier management, internal and external event management, and program or promotional process management
· Create, develop, execute, and produce effective global marketing, advertising, and sales materials on time and on budget to implement global marketing strategies and sales objectives
· Ensure all divisional communications are consistent with AM global marketing strategy while maintaining regulatory compliance, department quality standards, and adherence to global marketing ad/promo processes
· Enable digital communications environment for customer engagement and interaction leveraging corporate standards for web and social media including analyzing, communicating and monitoring metrics
· Develop, communicate, implement, and monitor product launch, digital, and operations process plans to assist global marketing strategy implementation
Participate in the development of plans for product promotion in support of marketing strategies and sales objectives
Major Responsibilities:
Responsible for implementing and maintaining the effectiveness of the quality system.
1. Plans and creates development and implementation of global marketing and sales promotional programs and processes to meet global strategic marketing objectives for timing, quality, and budget.
2. Ensures compliance with applicable corporate and divisional policies and procedures; all promotional programs and materials meet brand/marketing, regulatory, medical, general business legal quality assurance, timing, and budgetary objectives
3. Provides direction to vendors by meeting to incorporate ideas, goals, themes, and budget for promotional material to ensure quality production and timely completion of projects Acts as a liaison between vendors and product managers to facilitate communications, consensus, and completion of promotional projects
4. Drives, manages, and monitors business digital channels including external website, and internal global collaboration tools such as Pepper(validated Ad Promo system), salesforce.com(customer relationship management) Sharepoint,(Collaborative tool) digital asset management, print on demand, etc) Acts as a super user for web technology, for all US and global web publishing
5. Communicates and manages with product management teams the development and implementation of customer facing tradeshow and event objectives, programs, strategies, budgets, timelines, and schedules including Innovation rooms and customer key events.
6. Monitors required brand guidelines and responsible for training on guidelines as well as quality checks for the product promotional materials at all stages of development and production process indicating changes where required to ensure quality of promotion being produced
7. Interacts with global and area teams to ensure consistent usage of promotional messaging, imagery, and programs
8. Assists and participates Marketing Teams with strategic planning process/guidance and execution, budgeting, process and marketing systems and data management
Supervisory / Management Responsibilities:
This position will work with AM global marketing team that works with all of Abbott Molecular.
There will be no positions reporting directly to this individual. Supervision Received) Work is closely
supervised. Follows specific, detailed instructions. 8. (Supervision Provided) N/A
Education:
Bachelor's degree, prefer marketing, advertising, or communications plus 2-5 + years of related work experience with a basic understanding of specified functional area, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Background:
Demonstrate ability to effectively manage a significant roster of projects /programs and deliver on budget and timing expectations
Excellent planning and organizational skills are required to be successful in this position. Ability to multi-task is key!
Proven ability to objectively evaluate program results and recommend future utilization of program suppliers
Communicates clearly and effectively to drive clarity and results
Knowledge of content management systems, and web publishing software a plus
General proficiency in Microsoft programs required
Strong project managements skills
Experience with management third party suppliers
Marketing Operations experience a plus
General knowledge and basic application of business concepts, procedures and practices.
