The Opportunity

This position is an onsite opportunity in the Abbott Diabetes Care Division. We are helping people with Diabetes lead healthier, happier lives.   As a global leader in diabetes care, Abbott is constantly working to deliver the highest quality products and unwavering support to our customers.  Consistent and accurate glucose monitoring is the foundation of any diabetes management plan, so we’re committed to continuous improvement in the way patients and professionals measure, track and analyze glucose levels.

As a Financial Analyst, you will be in a high visibility, high impact role which will assist in creating and completing key financial reports for the Diabetes Care division that are reviewed by executive management, working with finance leaders across the division to provide meaningful insight into business drivers vs. key benchmarks, and preparing senior leaders for reviews with MDD and Corporate. This is a tremendous opportunity to develop your skills and gain exposure from the Assistant Controller and Division Controller, and you will also have visibility to key financial and non-financial information from all divisional teams (incl. Commercial, Manufacturing, R&D, etc).  You will be an individual contributor overseeing US Commercial sales performing journal entries, account reconciliations, forecasting, variance analysis and ad-hoc analytics as required by Management. Candidate will play a critical role in monthly actuals and LBE forecasting processes interacting with both Finance Management as well as cross-functional stakeholders across the US Commercial organization. This is an onsite opportunity in Alameda, CA.

What You'll Do

·  Supports ADC US Commercial business working on key projects and analysis around Gross to Net Sales
·  Will be integral player in development of LBE (forecast) templates utilized by the finance team and be expected to assist in providing guidance to senior finance personnel on key findings
·  Will have opportunity to own management of BGM program accruals seeing the end-to-end process
·  Interfaces with Senior Management and Department Managers and key stakeholders to gain understanding of key revenue and cost drivers
·  Prepares key management reports emphasizing historical results, budgets, forecasts, and trends.
·  Run reports and analysis utilizing financial tools such as Excel, Dodeca, Power BI, SAP etc.
·  Completes ad hoc financial requests as needed

Experience You'll Bring

Required

·  Bachelors Degree (preferably in finance, accounting or economics)
·  2-5 years financial analysis experience.
·  Ability to plan, implement, and administer financial information and control systems.
·  Knowledge of the principles, processes and standards for integrated financial analysis and reporting.
·  Highly proficient in Excel.

Preferred Skills

·  Masters Degree / MBA preferred
·  Experience with EssBase, Dodeca, SAP and Hyperion budgeting software a plus
·  Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
·  Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization

The base pay for this position is
$65,900.00 – $131,900.00
