JOB DESCRIPTION:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Demand & Supply Planning Specialist to join our Abbott Team.

This role effectively drives the monthly Sales & Operations (S&OP) Planning process for assigned product lines, including development & implementation of strategies to support product launch planning, inventory & obsolescence management, product rationalisation and monitoring of key demand planning performance indicators. It is also responsible for executing and monitoring of all supply & distribution planning activities to ensure timely availability of material while meeting inventory targets, minimising obsolescence and optimising costs.

Core responsibilities include:

·  Lead monthly S&OP review meetings and challenge the assumptions and numbers provided in the analysis in order to solicit functional knowledge to improve forecast accuracy
·  Submit periodic Net Requirement Forecast through SAP, based on cross-functional discussions, analyses on sales forecast, new product launches, phase-In/out schedule, etc.
·  Work closing with sales and marketing teams, regulatory, global planning, and local supply chain team striving to provide and accurate demand signal
·  Review and manage STOs generated by system, including minimising manual process
·  Follow up and expedite shipment with distribution centres/ factories/ suppliers
·  Determine and maintain SAP SNP parameters
·  Contribute to phase-in/phase-out processes for assigned product lines. Communicate implementation plans to geographies consistent with marketing & integrated business plans
·  Coordinate inventory allocation and/or transfer during times of supply constrain or in excess
·  Ad hoc reporting

To be successful in this role, you will have:

·  Up to 3 years’ experience in supply and demand planning, preferably in a large global company
·  Degree in supply chain, business or relevant
·  Hands on experience with forecasting processes across sales, marketing and supply chain in a complex environment
·  Knowledge and experience with ERP, SAP and Database skills is essential
·  Demonstrated agility to develop customer focused solutions to business issues
·  Strong analytical and expert level Excel skills, with high attention to detail and accuracy
·  Problem-solving capability with the ability to question process and come up with ideas to mitigate supply risks
·  Skills in negotiation, procurement and contract management
·  Proficiency for communication, catering for a variety of stakeholder levels including overseas vendors and internal stakeholders
