JOB DESCRIPTION:

Strategic & Technological Oversight

• Recommend and drive innovative solutions, which anticipates the future direction of the business, its drivers and technology strategy
• Drive globalization of business capabilities and determines redundancy and re-engineering opportunities through the use of the Architecture framework
• Collaborate with technology leaders, business partners and peer groups regarding long and short-range technology features
• Provide consultation on leveraging new and existing software and technology as well as evaluate open source software in integration space
• Influence technology direction and/or adjustments to incorporate into business plans
• System Architecture SME for DB, Network, Storage, and Application stack

Portfolio, Architecture & Roadmap Oversight

• Provide oversight at the portfolio level; influencing decision-making and prioritizing the business and architecture backlog for the programs and teams
• Partner with Product Owners to align the roadmap with the technical design and strategy.
• Develop systems integration architecture, designs, patterns, guidelines and roadmaps in support of IDA current and future needs
  • Design and develop IT architecture (frameworks, software/applications, data, information, and technology)
  • Review and ensure major architectural designs are consistent, maintainable, flexible and cost effective solutions
  • Lead the debugging/execution of test cases as needed for reports, DataMarts, and ODS
  • Collaborate with developers on system data elements to ensure needs are met/make improvements
• Provides technical oversite to a wide range of integration development activities
• Manage Production moves to Oracle database environment
• Manage DB Account Access
• Ensure architecture and roadmap comply with relevant legislation, compliance requirements, and industry regulations
• Ensure effective systems operations between the suppliers and Abbott Plan/Build organization
• Technical reviewer for code design reviews
• Infrastructure Capacity planning

Support Oversight

• Manage the support process 24/7 for the IDA Ecosystem
• Ensure effective systems operations between the suppliers and Abbott Plan/Build organization
• Manage the Review/test/troubleshoot data tables for proper loading
• Query and Database tuning
• Manage System security per IT policies
