Due to continued growth Abbott Diabetes Care in Donegal now have a requirement for an Electrical Engineer. In this role you will interface with engineers and data scientists to understand data needs.

Responsibilities

• Support existing data processes integrated with production equipment and create new data processes as required.
• Interface with the business to understand data needs.
• Partner with data analytics and engineering teams to solve problems and identify trends and opportunities.
• Build data expertise and own data quality for allocated areas of ownership.
• Define and manage all data sets in allocated areas of ownership.
• Work with production support teams to triage data related issues and drive to resolution

Experience

• Experience of PLC programming and the various methods for integration with database technology essential
• Knowledge and understanding of relational databases technology (working knowledge of Oracle or SQL server preferable)
• Analyze data requirements with relevant business teams to propose process improvements which may influence architectural implementations
• Knowledge and experience of working with large transactional datasets
• Strong technical problem-solving and analytical skills
• Experience with data technologies to enable data analytics from a production environment.
• Experience with scripting languages or analytical tools to develop solutions to technical problems (e.g. JMP, SAS).
• Participates in the development of analytical processes to be used by multiple teams/applications.
• Uses automation to build extensive end-to-end system tests and creates reusable test scripts for testing.
• Creates KPIs that will drive business decisions and actions
• Bachelor or higher degree in Electrical / Computer Science / Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of recent experience
