The Opportunity

This position works out of our Pleasanton, CA location in the Office of Ethics and Compliance Medical Device division supporting the Heart Failure Business unit.  

·  As a Compliance Analyst, you’ll have the chance to support developing, updating and maintaining basic and routine elements of Abbott’s compliance program at the business unit, divisional, and corporate level. You will support the revision and administration of OEC education and training (including supporting materials) and assist with the implementation and administration of division monitoring plan.

What You’ll Work On

·  Independently analyzes various business transactions and provides guidance, support and appropriate advice regarding any compliance matters associated with Abbott policies and industry standards.
·  Develop knowledge of Abbott’s business areas supported to proactively identify, assess and mitigate potential areas of risk and provide a recommended course of action to management.
·  Assist OEC leadership to develop divisional monitoring plan and perform divisional monitoring activities to identify whether activities comply with policies and procedures.
·  Develop and deliver training programs on OEC and divisional policies and procedures and track completion accordingly.
·  Effectively use data analysis tools and problem-solving techniques using close attention to detail to identify and prioritize assessment of potential risk.
·  Develop and maintain transactional compliance metrics and monitor compliance trends/results and advise on remediation plans and corrective actions.
·  Support and communicate with various levels of divisional business functions to provide basic and routine OEC and divisional policy interpretation and requirements, and assists with compliance risk assessment, trend analysis and best practice recommendations.
·  Assist in facilitating the routing for approval of various business requests, necessary forms and new and/or updated divisional procedures.
·  Assist the OEC Director/ECO on compliance audits; assists in the fulfillment of auditor’s requests by gathering information and documentation.

Required Qualifications

·  BS/BA required.
·  Minimum of 2 years’ experience, with exposure to business functions such as compliance, legal, regulatory affairs, governmental affairs, and finance.
·  Experience with Microsoft Office suite including but not limited to Excel file management, PowerPoint presentations. 
·  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
·  Highly skilled at organizing and prioritizing.
·  Must have strong written and verbal skills and an ability to effectively communicate with colleagues at all levels.

Preferred Qualifications

·  Experience working in medical device, or life sciences industry, a strong plus.
·  Experience with data analytics, a strong plus. May include building, iterating, and managing reports and/or dashboards in relevant systems such as PowerBI or Tableau.

The base pay for this position is
$65,900.00 – $131,900.00

In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
