WHAT YOU’LL DO

Our location in Austin, TX currently has an opportunity for an Onboarding & Communications Specialist. The Onboarding & Communications Specialist position supports and enhances the internal communications and on-boarding activities for Cardiac Rhythm Management’s (CRM) Commercial Excellence organization and the United Sates sales force.   This role establishes rapport with key Medical Device internal stakeholders, primarily in sales, business human resources, and sales training, to develop plans and protocols to ensure accurate, effective, and consistent delivery of internal communications and onboarding processes across the United States, for a field force of more than 1,300 people that support over $1B in revenue.

·  Lead the development and execution of internal communication objectives and strategies across the organization to ensure the effective delivery of internal communications as directed by leadership
·  Identify and implement continuous improvement of internal communications contents and methods for field communications
·  Execute various components of communication activities across the division
·  Consult cross-functionally in the design of communications with clear and consistent messages to achieve identified delivery of key messages
·  Develop and maintain key communication materials and distribution lists for organizational changes across the division
·  Measure the effectiveness of programs by conducting communications surveys as needed
·  Participate in projects across the commercial excellence and sales training organizations, as well as other function as needed
·  Collaborate with the sales training organization to deliver new hire training and measure the effectiveness via feedback surveys
·  Partner with business human resources on special projects associated with new hire onboarding and employee communications
·  Facilitate onboarding content during new hire orientation
·  Communication and liaison with cross functional teams and Field based employees to ensure efficient onboarding for the Commercial organization and coordinate among different internal departments to ensure new hires get set up properly (IT, Recruiters, HR, Finance, etc.)
·  Order and provide written follow-up on new hire resources (computers, phones, programmers, and other essential items
·  Facilitate and teach onboarding content during orientation days for all new field reps and managers
·  Coordinate onboarding training with new hires, hiring managers and internal departments (IT, talent acquisition, business human resource and finance, etc.) to ensure a seamless onboarding into Abbott
·  Provide weekly communications on new hire progress to sales training, management, and senior leadership
·  Coordinate with exiting employees, managers, and relative functions to ensure all company property and inventory is returned, final expense reports are filed, and system accesses are deactivated in a timely manner
·  Serve as a single point of contact for new commercial employees
·  Understand and comply with applicable EHS policies, procedures, and guidelines
·  Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING

REQUIRED :

·  Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Communications, Computer Science or related field or equivalent job experience.
·  4 or more years of experience in communications, marketing, and/or training
·  Effective oral and written communication skills with a commitment to customer service
·  Ability to analyze and interpret data and make independent decisions and judgments
·  Ability to use spreadsheet, database, and/or presentation software
·  Enjoy teaching and be able to educate over the phone
·  High attention to detail and documentation skills and Quality
·  Positive attitude
·  Strong coordination and triage skills
·  Able to maintain strict confidentiality
·  Multi-task oriented and solutions driven
·  Ability to meet deadlines on multiple assignments/projects and operate with a sense of urgency as required
·  Ability to manage multiple assignments and track the progress of each one
·  Exhibits strong organizational skills
·  Occasional or Regularly scheduled overtime is a requirement of this position.
·  Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance.
·  Computer proficient with advanced capabilities to utilize MS Word, PowerPoint, MS Project and Excel.
·  Possesses excellent judgment and initiative to make independent decisions

The base pay for this position is
$57,300.00 – $114,700.00

In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
