We are recruiting a Capital Equipment Service Engineer based in Paris
PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
- Responsible for installation, upgrading, repair and preventive maintenance of all capital equipment part of Abbott’ s product portfolio
- Establish service based contact/interaction with biomed and technical service staff in hospitals
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Hardware/software field interventions including system installation, preventive maintenance, calibration, upgrades, troubleshooting and repair of capital equipment sold, place on consignment or used as demo.
- Work with EMEAC CES team members and local sales/clinical staff on optimal scheduling of field interventions.
- Document field service interventions
- Report capital equipment incidents
- Provide support and technical assistance for in-house training courses and congresses.
- Provide system maintenance and troubleshooting training to sales and field clinical staff if required
EDUCATION & COMPETENCIES:
- Preferred but not essential Bachelor degree in electronics, engineering or equivalent.
- Experience in medical electronics service or related field service.
- Strong communication skills : verbal and written.
- Fluent in French with a good level of English
- Strong electronic and mechanical skills including troubleshooting.
- Computer skills : Ms Office, Linux
- Requires occasional lifting of products and material related to installation of the systems.
- Familiarity with cathlab and operating room procedures and protocol would be a plus.
- Experience with medical devices and software based medical systems would be a plus.
- Ability to be flexible and respond to situations at short notice.
- Able to work independently in a fast environment with little supervision
- Able to travel 70% of the time in France but also abroad
