The Opportunity

This position works out of our Alameda, CA location in the Diabetes Care division where we're focused on helping people with diabetes manage their health with life-changing products that provide accurate data to drive better-informed decisions. We’re revolutionizing the way people monitor their glucose levels with our new sensing technology.  

As the CAPA Project Coordinator you will manage the continuous improvement projects related to the Corrective/Preventive Action process.

What You’ll Work On

·  Prepares project plans, schedules and budgets by using project management tools such as Microsoft Project and by working with appropriate staff to understand tasks necessary to complete project.
·  Execute projects by creating tasks, tracking project schedules, identifying risks, and developing and executing contingency plans.
·  Communicates project status by preparing standard status reports, and by participating in departmental and internal customer project status update meetings.
·  Resolves project issues by working with team members, project customers, and others as appropriate.
·  Participates in external project management organizations, conferences and seminars to keep current with industry best practices in project management by joining professional associations and implementing a professional development plan with focus on project management.
·  Cultivates a wide range of internal networks and begins to develop an extensive external network of resources to facilitate completion of tasks.
·  May lead a project team of moderate scope.
·  Influence exerted at peer level and occasionally at first levels of management.
·  Plans, organizes, and prioritizes own daily work routine to meet established schedule.; 6. (Decision Making/Impact) Exercises authority and judgment within defined limits to determine appropriate action.
·  Failure to achieve results or erroneous decisions or recommendations may cause delays in program schedules and may result in the allocation of additional resources.

Required Qualifications

Bachelors Degree or an equivalent combination of education and work experience

Minimum 2 years of experience

Related work experience with a good understanding of specified functional area.

Preferred Qualifications

Masters Degree

Working technical knowledge and application of concepts, practices and procedures.

General understanding of business unit/group function.

Will perform this job in a quality system environment.

Failure to adequately perform tasks can result in noncompliance with governmental regulations.

Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of identifiable factors.

Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.

Has a broad knowledge of technical alternatives and an understanding of their impact on the systems environment.

The base pay for this position is
$65,900.00 – $131,900.00

In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
