Status: Full time/2-year Contract

Responsibilities:

  • Performs a sequence of operations or tasks where standard procedures or recognized operational methods are available and/or prescribed. Relies on instructions and established guidelines to accomplish wor
  • Prepares solutions, as required daily
  • Performs regular equipment maintenance
  • Works under regular supervision, in accordance with direction and established work routine. Matters which deviate from the routine are referred to the supervisor
  • Plans and organizes routine and non-routine tasks according to established objectives and work schedules
  • Solves problems using technical knowledge and commonly-used concepts, practices and procedures within a given area or function
  • Communicates ideas and suggestions for improving processes to leadership
  • Understands and complies with Quality and EH&S policies, procedures and guidelines
  • Safeguards the environment and facilitates a safe and healthy workplace culture
  • Other miscellaneous duties as may be required

Education and Experience:

  • College Diploma (2year program) or equivalent work experience in Chemistry, Biology, micro biology or similar field.
  • Previous experience to a regulated manufacturing environment is preferred
  • Ability to plan, organize and prioritize own daily work to meet established schedule and to multi-task
  • Demonstrated initiative, problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills
  • Ability to clearly, concisely and accurately convey communications
  • Ability to form and develop interpersonal, professional relationship
  • Ability to work independently and in groups
  • Ability to quickly gain knowledge, understanding or skills and willingness to learn
  • Intermediate experience with MS Office
  • Intermediate experience with databases
