As an Associate Director, Procurement -Third Party Manufacturing, your primary responsibility is to elevate supplier performance understand and mitigate risk associated with new and existing TPMs globally through a diverse series of activities both commercial and operational. The role is accountable to plan and execute initiatives to deliver bottom-line growth through cost savings programs. The individual is responsible for coordination of the initiatives from the initial planning, the commercial negotiation, and the full commercial readiness activities (equipment installations, manufacturing trials, and production).  The role is responsible to liaise with cross functional teams and internal stakeholders to understand the TPM processes and activities. The role will partner with the Category Management team and Corporate purchasing functions to understand pricing structure for key components and engage with the TPM's to drive transparency in the overall pricing structure supporting pricing negotiations as required. This is on onsite opportunity in Alameda, CA.

What You'll Do

·  Develops objectives and programs to reduce the total acquisition costs (product/component cost glide paths). Develops and implements consistent performance metrics for TPMs.
·  Responsible for providing leadership in identifying cost savings projects for all new and existing TPMs.
·  Lead cross-functional project activities to set up the supply chain with new TPMs (from raw materials sourcing to manufacturing to distribution). Develop and maintain timelines for the TPM activities in the project, and manage the project expense budget to support the start-up.
·  Responsible for knowledge of TPM business, systems and processes through close work with Quality Assurance, Engineering, R&D, Purchasing, Regulatory, Legal, Supply Chain, and Logistics.
·  Ensure TPM governance is established to ensure clear roles and responsibilities, review process and commercial metrics.
·  Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Division policies and procedures.
·  Evaluates cost / benefit of various financial scenarios and makes recommendations to senior management.
·  Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements linked to manufacturing.

Experience You'll Bring

Required

·  Bachelors Degree, Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
·  Masters Degree, MBA desirable, but not necessary
·  Minimum 10 years of Strong negotiating and influencing skills.
·  Strong oral and written presentation skills and ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience.
·  Excellent problem solving and logical thinking skills.
·  This position will frequently interact with the principle business owner or senior management staff at the Third Party Manufacturer to discuss projects and negotiate issues and resolve problems.
·  Experience in working across functional areas and possess an understanding of the various operational disciplines (i.e., Engineering, Manufacturing, Logistics, Purchasing, Supply Chain).
·  This position requires frequent travel to Third Party Manufacturers on short notice as business conditions demand.

The base pay for this position is
$144,100.00 – $288,300.00
