The Opportunity
This position works out of our Alameda, CA location in the Diabetes Care division where we’re focused on helping people with diabetes manage their health with life-changing products that provide accurate data to drive better-informed decisions. We’re revolutionizing the way people monitor their glucose levels with our new sensing technology.
The Associate Director, Complaint Track and Trend is responsible for developing, establishing, and maintaining quality assurance processes and procedures related to complaint tracking and trending and data analyzes. This position plays a critical role to ensure compliance to post market regulatory requirements related to customer complaint handling and investigation, and Abbott quality management system.
What You’ll Work On

Lead the complaint tracking and trending organization for Abbott Diabetes Care (ADC), ensuring high quality of Data Analysis, Trending and Reporting.

Ensure accurate documentation and files related to ADC complaint tracking and trending.
·
Assist during FDA, ISO or other third party or internal audits.
·
Train and support team members on the requirements of complaint tracking and trending.
·
Partner with R&D, Operations, and Commercial to assure quality and business deliverables and metrics are met.
·
Independently identify systemic product and process improvement opportunities assuring appropriate investigation, correction, corrective and preventive action when needed.
·
Demonstrate ability to interpret current and emerging regulations and approaches for complaint handling and trending.
·
Creates reports for and manages meetings covering Management Reviews; Manages projects and/or cross functional teams as needed; Motivates and manages teams for high engagement and performance; Develops and manages budget.
Required Qualifications
Masters Degree in relevant field
Minimum of 10 years in both overall and any industry-specific experience.
Strong project management, team skills, and influential management
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated experience with postmarket regulatory requirements and regulating bodies required.
Six Sigma Black Belt or experience with statistics is desired.
Experience working in a cross functional team model.
Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.
Strong leadership skills, including the ability to set goals and provide positive and constructive feedback respectfully to build positive relationships and improve business results.
Ability to work effectively within a team in a fast-paced changing environment.
Excellent verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.
Multi-tasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner.
Strong organizational, planning, and follow-up skills and ability to hold others accountable.
Ability to evaluate issues, make decisions and determine when to escalate, as necessary.

The base pay for this position is
$144,100.00 – $288,300.00
