What you will do

As an Intern: Business Control Analyst, you will focus on migrating training videos to a new modern format that is narrated by an avatar, leverages standardized formatting, and is easier to update. Through this process, you will develop an understanding of the VFS Business Model, our core finance processes, and insight into the meaning behind our key performance indicators. You will also job shadow and gain exposure to our month end and planning processes, with the opportunity to establish a network of colleagues across the Volvo Group.

This position is located in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Who are you?

The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, tech-savvy, proactive individual who excels in Microsoft Excel, including automation tools like VBA, and are skilled at optimizing spreadsheets. You have strong analytical and communication skills that enable you to collaborate effectively with the finance team, ensuring accurate financial data and providing training on new functionalities.

 

Qualifications likely required to be successful in this role include:

·  Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field must have completed 30 credit hours or more prior to the start of the internship. Advanced degrees or certifications in automation or financial systems are a plus.
·  Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other spreadsheet software
·  Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
·  Attention to detail
·  Basic understanding of accounting principles
·  Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
·  Experience with spreadsheet automation tools (e.g., VBA, Google Sheets scripts, Excel macros, Python for data analysis) is a plus
·  Summer interns may work up to 40 hours per week 
·  Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English

 

At the Volvo Group, we strive for a clear, transparent, and straightforward compensation approach, motivating you to contribute to the company’s growth. For all intern and co-op positions, the hourly range is set at $17.00 - $46.00. The hourly rate for these roles is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, academic classification, and degree seeking area of study. In addition to these factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer.
