Our world is a world of change, and our industry is transforming just as fast, driven by sustainability, digitalization, and new customer demands. At Volvo Construction Equipment (Volvo CE), we see it as an opportunity to protect our planet and to build the world we all want to live in.
At Volvo CE, Technology is at the heart of creating the future of construction: cleaner, smarter and more connected solutions for our customers and for society. With our 2030 company ambitions and our Philosophy as foundation, we are accelerating R&D in areas of new disruptive technologies like digitalization, electrification, automation, connectivity, and sustainable power solutions.
Volvo CE is built by great people and great collaboration. We believe in a safe, diverse and inclusive workplace where people can grow, innovate and perform to their full capacity. With curiosity, imagination and technological innovation, we develop solutions that shape our future.
Our current Head of P&C Technology is moving on to the role of Head of P&C Volvo CE. Therefore we are now looking for a progressive, business-minded and human-centric leader to Head the global People & Culture agenda for our Technology function and to enable the cultural journey we are on at Volvo CE.
What you will do
You will be a key member of our Volvo CE Technology Leadership Team, our Volvo CE P&C Leadership Team as well as our P&C Council, where functional, regional and country P&C leaders collaborate and drive the agenda for Volvo CE. You will be a central part in leading, shaping and co‑creating the People & Culture agenda through these forums, in networks and in collaboration with colleagues around the world. You are an enabler who actively contribute by influencing, creating movement and drive transformation on the people side of business, all to contribute to the transformation of our company worldwide.
In this role, you will be a key driver in all P&C focus areas and processes where the People & Competence planning is a central part, this to enable and unleash the full human potential in our organization. You will also play a central role in leading cultural transformation within Technology and beyond, guided by our true beliefs about how we work, lead and organize – all in line with our Philosophy and strategic ambitions.
The Technology function consists of approx. 2 000 colleagues across 10 sites globally, working in areas such as electrification, automation, connectivity, software and product development. Your work will connect long-term strategic direction with everyday decisions, behaviors and ways of working across our global Technology teams, while your role in the global People & Culture leadership will help ensure alignment and impact across the whole of Volvo CE.
Being part of the global People & Culture leadership team means actively driving the future of Volvo CE’s people agenda, exploring what’s next, influencing change and ensuring that we not only keep up with, but stay ahead of, the times.
In this role you will also
· Lead the global P&C Technology network, acting as the leader and driver for functional P&C priorities in the global Technology arena. You will work closely with P&C Partners in our 10 Technology locations globally
· Drive and enable cultural transformation within Technology and Volvo CE as a whole
· Champion 100 % involvement ambition by building a culture that unlocks the energy, ownership and potential of everyone
· Be the strategic People & Culture Partner for the Technology Leadership Team, supporting both long-term direction and daily leadership
Curiosity and a strong willingness to stay present in the organization are essential to succeed in this role. You will actively listen, learn and support, build strong relationships with leaders and networks, and help create the conditions for the future of Technology, and for how this future is understood, shared and lived in different locations and teams.
Who are you?
A senior, self-aware leader with a strong inner compass, high integrity and the courage to act authentically, while supporting others to do the same. You think long-term and holistically, are comfortable with complexity and dilemmas, and can see patterns, structure the unknown and help others build that capability.
You care deeply for people, business and the world we live in. Building trustful relationships comes naturally, as do empathy, genuine curiosity and clear communication. You listen well, adapt your message to different audiences, foster open dialogue and manage conflicts constructively.
As an inclusive collaborator and cocreator, you generously share your competence and are equally eager to learn from others. You drive change and improvement with courage, challenge existing structures when needed and stand up for your values.
You are creative and forward-looking, believe in meaningful change, and move with ease between strategic discussions and operational matters that create meaning, engaging people at all levels of the organization.
· You bring solid senior experience from leading and driving a holistic People & Culture agenda in a complex, global organization.
· You have a strong track record and deep interest in cultural and organizational development and change.
· You are an excellent communicator in English, both spoken and written.
· You have a deep understanding of Swedish Labour Laws and Regulations.
· You hold a bachelor’s degree within People & Culture, another relevant field, or equivalent experience.
