This role is part of Volvo Financial Services (VFS), who offer complete solutions for truck and equipment financing and service.
What you will do
VFS are excited to add an experienced Collections Officer to manage and oversee the receivables portfolio. Your main focus will be the timely recovery of outstanding payments through professional negotiation and dispute resolution, while delivering high-quality customer service to maintain positive customer relationships.
Day to day your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
· Managing the day-to-day collections activities for all overdue customer accounts via phone, email and formal correspondence
· Analysing the receivables aging to identify high-risk accounts and prioritise collections efforts
· Assessing customer financial situations and negotiating payment arrangements
· Identifying delinquent accounts requiring advanced action and prepare recommendations for repossession or legal proceedings
· Performing daily bank statement reconciliations to ensure accurate allocation of payments and portfolio integrity
· Being the primary contact and response point for retail account management activities including but not limited to: payout requests, payment queries, statement requests, change in contact details and general account maintenance queries.
Your future team
Reporting to the Head of Risk and Operations, you will work in a team of 7 credit, risk and operations professionals. Your team are a group of supportive and good-humoured individuals who value open communication and working together to get the job done. You will be located at our Volvo Group Head office in Wacol.

Who are you?
We believe that your behaviours and characteristics are just as important as your technical ability. Ideally you will have:
· Proven experience in B2B debt collection roles
· Experience with repossession, litigation and complex work out strategies
· Sound knowledge of collections policies, procedures, laws and litigation
· Knowledge and experience within finance (transportation or equipment industries highly regarded)
· Excellent time management skills and be target oriented
· Strong customer service and analytical skills
· Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, with Power BI being advantageous
