Marketing Analyst Intern - Strategic Communications

Industry and IT analysts lend key input and influence impacting Siemens Digital Industries Software’s strategy and industry go-to-market approach. Enterprises around the world look to industry analysts to help them decide what technology to buy, who to buy it from and how much to pay for it. A kind of “Consumer Reports for the software market.” As such, Siemens seeks to maintain strong relationships and lines of communication with the most influential analysts.

Your role will assist in fostering these relationships by preparing communications and monitoring the health of our interactions with analysts. Work will include many aspects of marketing and communications including: understanding who our key analysts are and how we should communicate with each, measuring the success of the Analyst Relations program by analyzing mentions of Siemens in analyst reports, crafting “pitch” communications to the analyst, preparing background reports on analysts to key Siemens spokespeople, tracking our activity with analysts so that the entire team is aware of what message has been sent to which analysts, when and by home—so we are consistent in our communications. The intern should have a solid understanding of marketing, communications or PR, be highly organized and detail-oriented as well as self-motivated, goal-oriented and possess good interpersonal communication skills. A foundational background in business, with experience in public relations or government relations is preferred.

Depending on location the intern would have opportunity to meet with both AR staff and IT analysts as part of the program.

  • Develop or improve marketing performance measurement and reporting capabilities for internal Siemens and external partner stakeholders.
  • Work with the Siemens AR and Global Communications team to devise plans and review content designed to inform and influence our analyst cohort.
  • Improve communications, interaction, and marketing support capabilities.
  • Develop the ability to operate with minimal supervision over the course of the internship.

Organization Requirements:
