Job description

Experience:10-15 years in relevant vertical areas within the Marine & Offshoreindustry

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Market Analysis and Strategy Development:
    • Conduct in-depth market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks within the Marine & Offshore, including Offshore Oil and Gas, sector in India.
    • Develop comprehensive business strategies aligned with Siemens goals and objectives.
    • Align portfolio elements for target market with global teams and enhance market penetration.
    • Contribute to the Vertical Business KPI for topline.
  2. Client Relationship Management:
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients - shipyards, offshore platform builders, operators and owners and other stakeholders in the Marine & Offshore industry.
    • Collaborate with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions, especially for energy transition and sustainability.
  3. Technical Sales Expertise:
    • Leverage technical knowledge in Electrical Power generation, distribution, automation, and electrical propulsion systems for naval & commercial ships and offshore platforms, to drive sales initiatives.
    • Provide advanced technical guidance and support to the sales team, incorporating the current know-how, identify future areas and plan the know how/competence build up.
  4. Business Expansion:
    • Identify new business opportunities and areas for expansion
    • Develop and implement effective strategies to capture a larger market share and enhance penetration with both private and government agencies.
  5. Global Collaboration:
    • Work seamlessly in a global team environment, collaborating with colleagues from different regions to ensure a cohesive approach to business development.
    • Facilitate knowledge exchange and best practice sharing.
  6. Financial Management:
    • Build annual business target agreements and key KPI’s to deliver business growth.
    • Monitor financial performance and implement cost-effective measures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering; MBA/Business Management Certification.
  • 10-15 years of experience in the Marine & Offshore industry in India
  • Proven track record in technical sales, particularly in Electrical Power generation, distribution, automation, electrical propulsion systems, and Offshore Oil and Gas applications.
  • Exposure to a global team environment will be considered an added advantage.
