YOU ARE

Immersed in our organization and culture, as well as involved in a full range of activities at Richemont and Van Cleef & Arpels.

You will assist your dedicated team in executing the brand or functional strategy as well as participate in initiatives or projects to support the development or understanding of sales, culture, analytics, & service. 

 

YOUR MISSION

The Archives intern will assist the Patrimony department in the elaboration and preservation of both the physical and digital Archives collection. They will report to the Senior Archivist and will be based in New York City.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

·  Write finding aids
·  Rehouse collections in archival enclosures
·  QC, index, and classify the digital archives
·  Assist the archivist in the general and daily preservation of the archives collection
·  Assist the archivist with the management of the general inventory

 

YOUR PROFILE

·  Currently enrolled in an accredited university/college program at the time of application with a focus in Information Science or Archives & Preservation is preferred.  
·  Experience working on a thesaurus and digital documents
·  Knowledge of the International Archiving Standards
·  Knowledge of physical and intellectual classification scheme
·  Interest and experience in art history a plus
·  Tech Savvy with proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite
·  An innovative thinker with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
·  At your core, a team player who is excited to shine, as well as empower and assist others to achieve success
·  Energetic and eager to assist on projects and initiatives
·  Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
·  Ability to read texts written in script/cursive
·  French language is a plus
·  Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with self-motivation and a proactive approach are needed
·  Excellent organization skill with accurate attention to detail is required
·  Able to work a full-time schedule throughout the course of our Summer Internship Program
·  Authorized to work in the United States; International students must have a current work visa, Richemont North America will not sponsor work visas for summer internships
·  Must be age 18 or older to participate   
·  Must be available to participate for the entirety of internship program (June 2nd - August 8th)

Compensation: $20-25/hourly
