Fundraising Program Specialist

 

Based in Geneva, we are recruiting a "Fundraising Program Specialist", whose main objective will be to support the Head of Fundraising in increasing the financial resources of the Michelangelo Foundation. The hired candidate will be expected to support the design, implementation, and monitoring of the fundraising strategy to develop and grow philanthropic support to the Foundation from a variety of donor sources. Main responsibilities will include the mapping and monitoring of potential donors, the follow-up and care of existing donors, the production of fundraising-related documents, the implementation of rigorous and functional fundraising tools and processes.

 

HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT?

Reporting to the Head of Fundraising, this role will be responsible for:
Assisting in the growth and management of philanthropic and sponsor support to the Foundation

·  Map and benchmark potential donors
·  Assist with donor portfolio management
·  Support donor care in coordination with the Foundation’s Community Care unit
·  Support the organization of fundraising events, and ensure the fundraising unit's presence at the foundation's events

Producing fundraising proposals and materials

·  Write and edit fundraising proposals and reports, adapting content to different donor profiles
·  Ensure consistency between different fundraising communication documents and media
·  Support the delivery and reporting of impact measurement indicators in coordination with other Foundation units (collection of qualitative and quantitative data)

Implementing and guaranteeing smooth operational processes

·  Provide administrative support to the Fundraising unit
·  Ensure data entry, management and analysis in the CRM system
·  Liaise with other Foundation units on various topics
·  Assist with due diligence processes

 

HOW WILL YOU EXPERIENCE SUCCESS WITH US?
The successful candidate will demonstrate alignment with the Foundation values and goals:

·  Master's degree in philanthropy / business / marketing/communications related field
·  Knowledge of philanthropy environment and techniques
·  Interest in the arts and craftsmanship
·  3+ years of working experience in the field of philanthropy and/or fundraising
·  Experience with reporting and coordination
·  Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 suite. Experience with Salesforce is a plus
·  Strong written, verbal, and digital communication skills, including representing the organization at events and in front of donors
·  Organization skills, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize projects while working to a deadline, or in a fast-paced environment
·  Professional demeanor and strong work ethic
·  Self-motivation with the capability to work independently
·  Team player. Proven ability to work supportively and effectively within and across teams and build good working relationships
·  Intellectually curious to ensure strategy evolves to maintain momentum and maximise impact
·  French and English fluent, other languages a plus
·  Flexibility to travel domestically and internationally
