Finance Operations Manager

Job description
We are seeking a highly motivated Finance Operations Manager to join our team in Italy. In this role, you will manage two direct reports, with a range of responsibilities across Internal Controls, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and supporting strategic projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial processes, a proven track record of internal controls management, and a passion for operational excellence.
How will you make an impact? You will:
· Supervise the Internal Control System, ensuring its effectiveness and compliance with relevant regulations
· Oversee all insurance activities, including policy management, claims processing, and risk assessment. Streamline the insurance management process to optimize efficiency and address increased workload
· Collect and analyze information on local competitors, including their financial performance, strategies, and market share. Conduct market research and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
· Drive continuous improvement projects across the finance department and other support functions. Identify opportunities for process optimization and automation, to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
· Support the CFO in driving and coordinating projects impacting the Italian platform and integration initiatives. Manage project timelines and coordinate all functions impacted, to ensure successful implementation.
· Coordinate the collection and reporting of ESG data for the Italian operations. Ensure compliance with relevant sustainability reporting frameworks.
How will you experience success with us?
· Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
· Extensive experience in Auditing or Controlling departments
· Experience in the luxury goods industry
· Strong understanding of all financial processes, including internal controls and risk assessment
· Experience with ESG reporting and sustainability initiatives
· Proven track record of project management, including planning, execution, and delivery
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
· Passion for innovation and digitalization
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Preferred knowledge of project management softwares, SAP Hana Plan and PowerBI.
· Fluency in Italian and English
