Job description

We are looking for an Airfreight Export Operator who will be responsible for daily operations in the airfreight export department. We aim to find the right solutions for our customers to provide high-quality services and meet their requirements. Working in a busy operational department you will take end to end ownership of files. You will provide excellent customer service on a daily basis to meet and exceed requirements from an operational perspective.

Your tasks and responsibilities

·  Plan, organize, coordinate, arrange, monitor the transportation and movement of goods; insight into various verticals like high tech, perishables, aerospace, pharma, and retail and their specific product requirements
·  Follow operations policies, procedures, standards, and ensure compliance with transport regulations
·  Arrange for payment of transportation, storage, and any other related charges
·  Arrange for insurance coverage for cargo
·  Consult with clients after the transaction to resolve problems and to provide ongoing support
·  Receive and process bookings
·  Daily communication with overseas offices, Airlines, other vendors and customers
·  Monitoring and updating of shipment status
·  Respond knowledgeably and courteously to incoming calls and customer inquiries; Answer customer inquiries and assist clients in the planning of transit times and routes
·  Manage communication with clients, client's customer for customer service and administration requirements
·  Act as a front-line communicator to our customer's customer; Drive prompt and professional communication at all times for both internal and external customers
·  Document , investigate and resolve all customer concerns in a timely and pro-active fashion
·  Manage track and trace updates, via electronic monitoring and manual updates; proactive response to service issues
·  Coordinate details for client KPI and internal performance reviews
·  Follow call and business processes outlined in work instructions, working in tandem with customer requirements;

Your skills and experience

·  Bachelor's degree or equivalent
·  Minimum 3 years of experience in the freight forwarding industry with a focus on airfreight export operations. An in-depth knowledge of export procedures is mandatory
·  Ability to be very profit conscious
·  Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
·  Excellent communication skills
·  Good analytical skills with attention to detail
·  Good problem solving and negotiation skills
·  Good command of both written and spoken English and Turkish
