Duties and responsibilities related to the Stewarding Team Leader role

Lead and supervise the stewarding team, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and efficiency across all kitchen areas.

Oversee the cleaning and sanitation of kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces, maintaining strict hygiene standards at all times.
·
Ensure the smooth operation of dishwashing areas, including correct use and maintenance of equipment.
·
Support the coordination of shifts, task allocation, and team productivity during service.
·
Assist with receiving, storing, and organising deliveries, ensuring proper stock rotation and storage practices.
·
Monitor waste management and recycling processes, ensuring compliance with hygiene, safety, and sustainability standards.
·
Train, coach, and support team members, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.
·
Work closely with chefs and kitchen teams to ensure seamless operations during busy service periods.
·
Ensure full compliance with health & safety, food hygiene, and company standards at all times.
About you
·
Previous experience in a kitchen porter or stewarding role, with some supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
·
A proactive and hands-on approach with high attention to detail and cleanliness standards.
·
Good understanding of health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
·
Positive attitude, reliable, and committed to supporting team success.
