Job description
*Implement the hotel's Marketing Communications Strategy (goals, tactics and actions) to achieve and exceed forecasted revenue figures in Rooms, Food and Beverage, Spa and all other revenue generating departments.
* Establishing annual marketing communications budgets, including above the line advertising, public relations, sales promotions and publicity that will form part of the hotel's business plan.
*To measure, interpret, prioritise and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing communications activities through an ROI analysis and adjust as necessary.
*To monitor all current attitudes and public statements concerning the hotel in foreign and local media.
*To closely work with Revenue Management Manager / Analyst to maximise use of relevant data including customer profile, behaviour, and yield for the planning and evaluation of marketing communications.
*To develop good community contacts among government, businesses, associations, etc. and represent the hotel at public functions. To support ad-hoc events and or projects in the community.
*Answers to all press inquiries, ensuring only relevant and accurate information have been released to the press.
*Provides assistance to hotel personnel in writing speeches, preparing letters and drafting articles that are to be made public.
*Proactively seeks opportunities (internally and externally) to promote rooms and food and beverage business.
