ABOUT THE ROLE

Working closely with the Brand, Ramp Strategy, and Design Services teams, the Art Director leads photography and film productions from concept through post-production, delivering compelling photo and video assets that reflect the aesthetics and values of the Hyatt family of brands across Asia Pacific.

This role defines the overall visual direction and on-set creative approach, including props, styling, and composition, to ensure all final assets align with each brand's global vision, strategic goals, and messaging while resonating with regional audiences and market needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

CREATIVE DIRECTION

• Lead the creative direction of photography and video productions across brand builder and beacon brand hotels in Asia Pacific, to ensure visual consistency and excellence.

• Translate brand strategy, positioning, and messaging into compelling visual narratives that elevate brand perception and support marketing objectives.

• Ensure all visual assets maintain alignment with global brand standards while remaining culturally relevant to regional markets.

CREATIVE PRODUCTION

Concept Development

• Develop creative concepts, visual frameworks, mood boards, and production briefs that guide the creation of brand-aligned visual storytelling.

• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders across Brand, Marketing, Design Services, and regional teams to define production objectives and creative direction.

On-Set Creative Leadership

• Direct and guide photographers, film directors, stylists, producers, and on-screen talent to ensure the intended artistic vision is achieved.

• Define the visual composition, styling, and storytelling within each frame while partnering with photographers and film directors on technical execution.

• Ensure productions are executed efficiently while maintaining the highest creative standards.

Production Oversight

• Oversee all creative production elements including props, styling, set design, lighting, and composition to deliver high-quality, aspirational visual assets.

• Ensure creative integrity and brand alignment throughout the entire production process.

Post-Production Direction

• Review and approve final photography and video assets, including editing, color grading, and finishing.

• Collaborate with editors, retouchers, and production partners to maintain consistent visual quality, color accuracy, and tonal integrity across deliverables.

BRAND VISUAL STANDARDS

Photography & Videography Guidelines

Develop and maintain photography and videography guidelines that translate brand vision, goals, and messaging into clear, practical standards for consistent visual storytelling across all channels.

Production Partner Management

• Source, evaluate, and recommend production partners—including photographers, videographers, and creative agencies—based on project requirements.

• Maintain and update the curated list of approved production partners within the Marketing Resources Guide platform.

LEADERSHIP & COLLABORATION

• Partner with regional and global brand teams to align creative output with broader marketing and brand strategies.

• Provide creative leadership and constructive feedback to internal teams and external production partners.

• Foster strong cross-functional collaboration to ensure creative productions support both brand storytelling and business objectives.

Qualifications :

Proven Creative Leadership

Strong portfolio demonstrating leadership in photography and film production, ideally within luxury hospitality, architecture, interior design, lifestyle, or premium consumer brands.

Exceptional Visual Expertise

Deep expertise in visual storytelling, composition, lighting, color, and sound aesthetics, with the ability to translate brand strategy into compelling creative output.

Strategic & Solution-Oriented Thinking

• Ability to solve creative, technical, and logistical challenges efficiently during production.

• Adapt creative execution strategies to evolving marketing needs and business priorities.

Technical & Digital Awareness

• Strong understanding of photography techniques, production workflows, and editing tools.

• Familiarity with digital platforms and social media formats to optimize visual content performance.

Communication & Leadership

• Excellent English communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate creative concepts and direction.

• Ability to lead creative teams and external partners with clarity, confidence, and constructive feedback.

Industry & Market Awareness

• Strong awareness of trends in luxury hospitality, lifestyle marketing, advertising, and commercial photography.

• Understanding of regional cultural nuances and evolving market expectations.

Travel

Willingness to travel frequently (up to 50%) across Asia Pacific to lead and oversee on-site creative productions.
