Night Manager at Hyatt House South Melbourne
An exciting pre-opening opportunity exists for a Night Manager to join our team at Hyatt House South Melbourne. This role offers the unique chance to be part of launching the Hyatt House brand in Australia, with the hotel scheduled to open at the beginning of 2025. Based on site in South Melbourne, the Night Manager is a vital role within the Front Office Team. You will support the Front Office Management Team in supervising and managing the day-to-day operations of the hotel. With a key focus on the ensuring a smooth and efficient night audit process and guest profile management.
Managing and working within a team, you will support the Assistant Rooms Manager and General Manager in supervising and managing the day-to-day operations as well as supporting the team to achieve our purpose.
· Complete the daily night audit process for the hotel, ensuring accuracy.
· Supervision and support of the Overnight Front Office Team, ensuring exceptional and efficient service is delivered at all times
· Handling of guest quires, as well as internal guest feedback and enquiries, in a friendly and efficient manner
· Be responsible for training and development of the Front Office Team
· Responsibility for the safety and security of the hotel and our guests overnight, in the absence of senior management.
· Respond to emergencies within the hotel, acting as Chief Warden and First Aid Officer
Desired profile
Qualifications :
Your background:
To be successful in this role you will require the following attributes:
· Previous experience as a Night Auditor
· The flexibility to work a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays
· Excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task and keep calm under pressure
· Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, along with strong service recovery skills
· Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) Certificate
· Full Australian Driver’s License (international driver’s license may be considered)
