Engineering Director

Job description

You will be responsible for the efficient running of the department in line with Hyatt International's Corporate Strategies and brand standard, whilst meeting employee, guest and owner expectations. The Engineering Director is responsible to ensure the efficient and economic operation of the Engineering Department in support of all other operating Departments, supplying services as required to the entire operation, and maintaining equipment, building, and grounds in optimum condition.

Key Responsibilities:

· Develop and implement a comprehensive preventive maintenance program for all facilities in the hotel, including kitchen and laundry.

· Inspection of the entire building, paying particular attention to any deficiencies or lack of life safety equipment, and the condition of all operating equipment.

· Work closely with the health and safety manager in the preparation and implementation of emergency response plans and in the operation and maintenance of security systems.

· Ensure that all records are properly maintained and archived, including applicable certificates of compliance and local government inspection reports for the property and its systems.

· Maintain a comprehensive set of operating manuals and parts lists for all operational equipment and up-to-date drawings of all areas and systems.

· Maintain the building, gardens and grounds (including road surfaces), renovate guest rooms and public areas, and check the functionality of all alarm systems and fire fighting equipment.

· Conduct training courses on life safety and firefighting for hotel employees in cooperation with the Training Academy.

· Based at Sarena de Muro Resort Mallorca Destination by Hyatt but providing support to other properties in concordance with Corporate office

Desired profile

Qualifications :

· Represent the engineering department on the hotel's executive committee.

· Experienced engineer in hotel or large facility.

· English business level required

· Qualifications such as building environmental sanitation management engineer and certified building equipment engineer.

· Experience in building management, maintenance and inspection work in general.

· Experience in on-site construction management of buildings, interiors, facilities, etc.
