Job description
The Head Barista at Park Hyatt Los Cabos is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the hotel's coffee bar, ensuring high-quality beverage preparation, maintaining excellent customer service, and leading a team of baristas. This role requires strong leadership skills, expertise in coffee craftsmanship, and the ability to create an inviting café experience for guests.
   Key Responsibilities:    
 
    Coffee & Beverage Operations    
· Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and other beverages, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and quality.  
· Develop and implement innovative coffee recipes and seasonal menus.  
· Ensure all equipment is well-maintained and in proper working condition.  
· Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety in compliance with hotel policies and health regulations. 
 
    Leadership & Team Management    
· Train, mentor, and supervise baristas, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.  
· Schedule shifts and manage staffing levels to ensure smooth operations.  
· Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to the team. 
 
    Customer Experience & Service Excellence    
· Deliver outstanding customer service by creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.  
· Handle guest inquiries, feedback, and complaints professionally and efficiently.  
· Promote and educate guests about the coffee selection, origins, and brewing methods. 
 
    Inventory & Financial Management    
· Manage inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stocking coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies.  
· Control costs and minimize waste by implementing efficient stock management practices.  
· Monitor sales performance and suggest strategies to boost revenue and customer engagement.
Desired profile
  Qualifications :    
·  Proven experience as a Barista, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.  
·  Extensive knowledge of coffee beans, brewing techniques, latte art, and espresso machine maintenance.  
·  Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.  
·  Passion for delivering exceptional customer service.  
·  Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.  
·  Advanced English level (B2+)  
·  Barista certification or relevant hospitality training is a plus.
