Hyatt Regency London – The Churchill is conveniently tucked away in upmarket Marylebone, located in the heart of London's West End, and overlooks the charming gardens of Portman Square. With 440 sophisticated guestrooms including 50 suites and 11 distinctive meeting spaces, the hotel offers a full range of services tailored to the needs of both business and leisure travellers. The Opportunity
As Director of Rooms, you will provide senior operational leadership across all Rooms functions, ensuring a seamless, engaging and memorable guest journey. You will work closely with your team and hotel management to drive service excellence, colleague engagement, financial performance and continuous improvement.
What you will do as Director of Rooms

Oversee the day to day operation of the Rooms division including Front Office, Housekeeping, Concierge, Guest Experience and related functions, working in partnership with each manager

Ensure Hyatt brand standards are consistently delivered, with a strong focus on personalised service and guest satisfaction

Lead, inspire and develop Rooms managers and colleagues through coaching, mentoring and structured development plans
·
Oversee recruitment, selection and succession planning within the Rooms division
·
Maximise revenue opportunities and control costs in collaboration with Rooms managers and senior hotel stakeholders
·
Contribute to and support the preparation of the Annual Business Plan for Rooms
·
Analyse business performance to support accurate forecasting and informed decision making
·
Monitor local, national and international market trends to ensure the Rooms operation remains competitive, relevant and innovative
·
Ensure Rooms priorities are aligned with overall hotel and brand objectives
·
Work collaboratively with colleagues across the hotel to support operational success and deliver exceptional guest experiences
About you
You will have a strong background in a senior Rooms leadership role within the luxury five star hotel market. You are a confident, visible leader with excellent communication skills and a passion for developing people. Experience working in a cosmopolitan city hotel environment such as London is highly beneficial, with an understanding of the pace, diversity and expectations of an international guest profile. You will have a proven ability to lead large, multi-disciplinary teams, drive consistently high standards and adapt to evolving guest and market demands in a dynamic urban setting.
