We are looking for a Director of Human Resources to join our pre-opening team at Hyatt Regency Lagos Ikeja

Expected to open in 2025, Hyatt Regency Lagos Ikeja is ideally located in the serene Government Reserved Area (GRA) and just moments away from Murtala Muhammed International Airport. About the role

· You will be responsible for efficiently running the Human Resources division in line with Hyatt’s Corporate Strategies and brand standards, meeting employee, guest and owner expectations. As a member of the property Executive Committee, the Director of Human Resources has a highly visible role with exposure to Senior and Corporate leadership. This person is responsible for aligning People strategies with our operations strategies and service initiatives to meet the hotel’s business objectives. The Director of Human Resources is responsible for short and long-term planning of the HR function. This includes leading strategically and tactically in the areas of workforce planning, recruitment and staffing strategies, wage and salary administration, associate and labour relations, benefits, workforce training and development and local diversity initiatives.
· You will be responsible for pre-opening HR functions including setting up the Human Resources Function, Talent Acquisition and onboarding, Employee Relations and Learning and Development. Post-opening you will Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the HR team in a generalist leadership role, including Performance, Payroll, Internal Communication, Recruitment and Training.
· You will also be responsible for the Colleague Engagement for an employee population of approximately 150 colleagues, through promoting and living our values and team building and supporting in delivery of Hyatt’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion strategy across the hotel
· You will collaborate with the leadership team as a business partner, including Business plan preparations and regular budget reviews and coach, counsel and advise colleagues and managers at all levels where required.

Desired profile

Qualifications :

·  Minimum 2 years or more of progressive Human Resource experience. Pre-opening experience would be a plus.
·  In-depth HR generalist practical operational knowledge of applying HR practices, policies and employment law in a fast-paced environment, within Nigeria.
·  Knowledge of local labour relations and laws
·  Proven leadership skills
·  Clear concise written and verbal communication skills in English
·  Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal and administrative skills
