We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Vice President, Business Financial Crime and Regulatory Risk.
Principal Responsibilities
The Business Financial Crime and Regulatory Risk (BFCRR) VP is responsible for supporting the Head of BFCRR in leading and managing delivery in the following areas
Financial Crime Risk (FCR) business as usual (BAU) agenda including:
· Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Sanctions, Anti-Bribery & Corruption (AB&C), Fraud & Conflict of interest
· Lead and support in the Insurance Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) Risk Forum
· Review MI data extractions & management for FCR reporting within the Insurance Customer Lifecycle
· Assist the embedding the Financial Crime agenda by driving cultural change
Regulatory interpretation, Tax reporting, transparency, and compliance agenda including:
· Ensure accurate and complete periodic regulatory (including Tax) reporting to regulators
· Provide guidance and understanding to operations to ensure collection and reporting customer tax data
· Assist in the implementation and on-going support to meet Tax reporting i.e. FATCA, CRS, UK Tax
· Assist in gap analysis and coordinate the implementation of new regulations with business & functions
· Communicating with stakeholders to embed, monitor, report and escalate issues and breaches
Requirements
· Educated to degree level in Accountancy, Finance, Business Administration, Technology or related field
· Track record of operational excellence and change execution
· Proven ability to manage data extraction, MI analytics, investigate issues and solve compliance anomaly
· 3-5 years experience of working in a complex financial services organisation (advantage to possess)
· 4-8 years Experience of managing Audit or Internal Control teams (advantage to possess)
· Demonstrable insurance business knowledge (advantage to possess)
· Able to plan, track and control operational activities
· Understanding of HSBC strategy, organisation, systems and processes (advantage to possess)
· Knowledge of the external environment – regulatory, political, competitors etc
· Drive and motivation to ensure delivery in a challenging environment
· Track record of positive interactions across the business and functions
· Proven ability to articulate issues concisely in the language of the business
· Relationship management, collaboration and influencing skills
· Ability to communicate effectively and confidently across cultures in the organisation
· Demonstrated to manage a team or peers and is able to work well with other business and functional team members and line managers
· Proven behaviour to do the right thing, take accountability personally, demonstrating good time management & commitment to the assigned deliverables
· Minimum of 6 to 10 years proven and progressive risk and control analysis and planning and project management experience within a Risk Management and project management function or equivalent, including a minimum of seven years proven management experience or equivalent
