Job Profile

Part of the Executive Leadership Team (ExCo), this Head of Technology Product Delivery for GO&A,Tech is a challenging role that has overall accountability for leading and delivering the end-to-end Technology Product and Service Outcomes to support the long-term strategic direction of the Wealth & Personal Banking (WPB) Business. With a blend of strong product, technology, and commercial expertise to drive GO&A Products and Service through innovation and incubation of solutions for our internal customers through effective senior stakeholder relationship management, and Technology team leadership to drive successful Product and Service Outcomes into live operation and ensure ongoing maintenance. Untimely responsibility for revenue, cost and risk management for the solutions or value streams within their scope.

Principal Accountabilities and Responsibilities

·  Delivery and Operation: Accountable for shaping and delivering end-to-end GO&A Technology Product and Services and ensuring existing operational capabilities continue to meet the WPB Business needs.
·  Identifying new opportunities or enhancements to deliver reusable technologies and capabilities that can be leveraged globally, for efficient operation and value for money throughout their lifecycle. 
·  Assessing feasibility of delivery and optimising costs for the proposed solution and backlog prioritisation.
·  Ensure that the run/operation considerations are included in the outcome ownership.
·  Partner with stakeholders in cross-functional teams (e.g. Operations, Technology Engineering, Date, Architecture) in the development of requirements to achieve Product objectives.
·  Understand regulations and localisation needs impacting our business, establish global implementations.
·  Drive Resilience and Reliability: Identify opportunities to drive simplification in Products and Services through the underlying technology to ensure exceptional resilience and reliability. 
·  Stakeholder Management: Relationship/Account Management including product propositions and technology portfolio delivery and maintenance for our key stakeholders. Partnering with the WPB Business and Regions/Markets to understand long-term strategic direction and targets
·  Innovation: Drive innovation & incubation of Solutions to deliver benefits for the WPB Business in partnership with other Value Streams, Business Automation, Product Transformation and Emerging Technologies
·  Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks to ensure operation within acceptable risk thresholds and partner with Head of Service, Head of Software Engineering, Cybersecurity etc to ensure service resilience and compliance. Acting as an escalation point for WPB stakeholders.

Team and capacity optimisation

·  Lead globally distributed Technology matrixed teams of 100+FTE using agile methodologies, utilising a DevOps approach to ensure each digital product globally operates on a single code base and is delivered through teams operating a continuous integration and continuous delivery framework.
·  Optimises resource delivery capacity (working within fixed capacity) to better align to strategic Outcome intent and reduce operational bottlenecks.

Requirements

Skills & Experience

Required

·  Proven experience in a Products or Services delivery roles e.g., as a Technology Value Stream Lead, Senior Product Owner or other, ideally from a financial services organisation background. 
·  Able to demonstrate technical knowledge gained from working across a variety of technologies and solutions.
·  Proven experience of leading Technology Engineering teams. 
·  Proven experience of partnering effectively with Executive Level business stakeholders e.g. Group General Managers and making commercially astute decisions 
·  Proven experience of applying risk assessment and management principles and solving or pre-empting issues.
·  Proven experience of effective communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to articulate technical concepts. 
·  Evidence of working across cultures and locations in a complex, matrix organisation with colleagues from across regions
(e.g. North America, LATAM, Middle East, Asia Pacific and Europe) being respectful of different cultures.
·  Proven experience of understanding and delivering towards customer needs in large, global, complex organisations.

·  Experience of working with or in a pre-sales role is.
·  Ability to champion the customer in strategic and tactical decision-making scenarios.
·  Experience of DevOps/DevSecOps or Scaled Agile processes. 
·  Evidence of delivering and driving strategic benefits for business / operations through products or services.
·  Evidence of excellent leadership and people skills (change agent, decision making, influencing, communication).
