We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Assistant Manager Corporate Sustainability.
Principal responsibilities
Assist in the development of Corporate Sustainably strategic plans on Community Investment to ensure clear focus and consistency in approach
Assist to develop and implement local flagship Community Investment programmes that align with the Bank's Corporate Sustainability Strategy
Drive and supervise the development and monitoring of Community Investment programmes in Hong Kong
Assist to manage the Corporate Sustainability donation and departmental budget to ensure no overspend per approved plan
Demonstrate a sound understanding of the local social and environmental context, Corporate Sustainability trends as well as regulatory requirements in which HSBC operates
Keep abreast of Corporate Sustainability trends and other related Non-Government Organisation programmes to identify Corporate Sustainability opportunities for HSBC
Assist to manage reporting and communications to enhance engagement to build the brand
Support the regional implementation of flagship/ group programmes
Assist in the coordination of the community investment and donation budget to ensure it aligns with Group guidelines and directives, as per approved plan
Assist to develop, coordinate and implement Corporate Sustainability activities that promote engagement and volunteerism among employees and management
Socialise and increase staff awareness about Corporate Sustainability programmes leading to increased staff participation in the programme and staff awareness about Corporate Sustainability issues
Support the effective implementation of strategies and reporting requirements
Manage Community Investment expenditure within budget and follow Group guidelines on Community Investment spending per approved plan
Desired profile
Requirements
A degree holder in a relevant discipline e.g. social work/social science/business/accounting and related fields
A relevant Masters degree an advantage
Good understanding of corporate sustainability trends and development
Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, with Putonghua a definite advantage
Excellent communications and presentation skills
Strong interpersonal effectiveness and project management skills
Good problem-solving and time management skills
A mature, independent team player
